Accounts Assistant

Department: Finance
Reporting to: Finance Director
Location: Bristol or London
Salary: Based on experience up to £25,000

About the role

Black & White Bridging was established in 2013 to provide short term, non-regulated lending solutions to property professionals in England and Wales. Due to our continued expansion, we are looking for an additional Accounts Assistant reporting to the Finance Director.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Local administration:

  • Calculating and producing completion and drawdown summaries
  • Calculating and issuing redemption figures
  • Setting up payments for authorisation
  • Issuing all drawdown and redemption information to borrowers
  • Liaising with borrowers, solicitors and investors throughout the process
  • Dealing with necessary consents and discharges
  • Ad-hoc reporting on contract changes
  • Drawing up and issuing all contract variation documentation

Servicing/collections

  • Ensuring all borrowers are paying on time or on an agreed plan
  • Chasing overdue payments in accordance with policy
  • Escalating overdue accounts to recoveries
  • Maintaining customer interest schedules
  • Processing customer invoices and receipts on the accounting system
  • Dealing with redemptions and distributions

Any other reasonable requests as instructed by the Financial Controller or board of directors

Qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Studying towards ATT or ACCA
  • Intermediate/advanced Excel skills
  • Great interpersonal skills
