How long have you been at Black & White Bridging and what is your role?<\/strong><\/p>\n Relationship Manager – 3 months in and I\u2019m absolutely loving it.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n How did you first get into property lending? <\/strong><\/p>\n I have been in Financial Services since I graduated in 2005. I worked in the big smoke for 3 years for a FTSE 250 insurer and when I came back to the Midlands in 2009, I started my journey as a Mortgage Broker.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n What is the best thing about your role, and why? <\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong>Meeting new people, building existing relationships and getting a deal over the line from start to finish \u2013 it\u2019s a great feeling.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n What motivates you?<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong>My family provide the personal motivation and providing a quality service to my brokers drives me professionally. I enjoy the challenge of trying to reach my targets and the financial reward of the industry is another big factor and why I have been doing it for so long.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n If you weren\u2019t Relationship Manager at Black & White Bridging, what would you like to be?<\/strong><\/p>\n I always wanted to be a fireman when I was younger and always enjoyed working in hospitality through university. So, either a Fireman or Restaurant owner. That said, the work life balance for both would be a challenge so I\u2019m very happy to be doing what I am doing.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n What separates Black & White Bridging from other lenders?<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong>We like to structure a deal and exhaust all avenues with the broker. We are not tied up with long criteria lists and impossible to understand product guides and pricing. As the strapline says \u2013 architects of truly transparent lending with no grey areas. On top of that, my lending team are the best I have worked with, they go above and beyond.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n When you\u2019re not at work, what are you most likely to be doing? <\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong>Playing a round of Golf at West Midlands golf club on Saturday. I love hacking up the course and going for a nice walk. I also love going to the cricket at Edgbaston and playing poker with friends. Lastly, I\u2019ve managed to build a small pub in my back garden, so I do enjoy spending time in there with friends and family.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n What are three things you can\u2019t live without?<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong>The obvious answer is the family but let’s assume that\u2019s a given. Any chocolate from the Cadbury cannon. Football. Brewdog\u2019s Hazy Jane ale.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Who are three people you\u2019d most like to have dinner with and why? <\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong>Craig Charles \u2013 I\u2019m a massive Red Dwarf fan and he can provide the soundtrack to the evening.<\/p>\n Stephen Fry \u2013 He\u2019s got to be high on most people\u2019s list.
