In the 2<\/span>nd<\/span> of our new series of \u2018meet the team\u2019 blogs, we caught up with our highly experienced veteran of the specialist lending market, Adam Tyler, to hear more about his role and what life is like at Black & White Bridging. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

How long have you been at Black & White Bridging and what is your role?<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/p>\n

I was a consultant to Black & White Bridging for 18 months before joining full time 3 months ago as Director of Intermediaries and I\u2019m loving it and glad to be a part of the team. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span>How did you first get into property lending? <\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/p>\n

The first time I arranged finance for somebody to buy a property was way back in 1989, just after a difficult time in the market and on the cusp of a new regulatory regime.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

What is the best thing about your role, and why? <\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/p>\n

I get to use my knowledge of the specialist lending market to help brokers, having spent 18 years working to facilitate deals for them in several roles. I was first involved in the industry at a bank back in 1997, which means I can now use that experience on each side to the benefit of both brokers and, more importantly, their customers.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

What motivates you?<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/p>\n

Returning to the front line of a lender is all the motivation I need. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

If you weren\u2019t Director of Intermediaries at Black & White Bridging, what would you like to be?<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/p>\n

Flying planes or sailing boats for a living.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

What separates Black & White Bridging from other lenders?<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/p>\n

I have seen Black & White\u2019s growth first-hand and the coming together of an experienced team delivering what it promises. The Relationship Team is distinct from the Lending Team, but the combination of both really does give our brokers, and ultimately their customers, a close and personal relationship that delivers the right results time and time again. Our strapline is \u2018truly transparent lending with no grey areas\u2019 and the company really does embody that from top to bottom.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

When you\u2019re not at work, what are you most likely to be doing? <\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/p>\n

It is all about family and there are plenty of us, so when not planning my next trip that is where I spend most of my time \u2013 I have just returned from a holiday with my children and grandchildren, there really is nothing better. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

What are three things you can\u2019t live without?<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/p>\n

Family, Football \u2013 right now I\u2019m lucky to support both Man City and Brentford which is where I grew up, and Travel. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
