We’re delighted to announce that our Office Manager Millie Pollard has successfully completed her apprenticeship with a distinction (like we thought she would!).
Millie typifies everything in a standout employee – huge effort, dedication and commitment whilst maintaining an upbeat, helpful attitude. She’s a huge asset to Black & White, and we know how hard she’s worked for this.
She has completed a level 3 business admin apprenticeship which is equivalent to two a-level qualifications. Having started in December 2021, it’s taken just over a year to complete. Despite a slow start due to changing tutors, she was able to complete her apprenticeship with various group sessions and one-on-one’s that have taught her important information, skills, knowledge, and behaviours needed to pass exams.
Millie commented: ‘What a relief it was to hear I had achieved a Distinction in all three of my End Point Assessments! I am so thankful to the help and guidance of my tutor Rachel Oddie, and the endless support from everyone at Black & White, especially Heather. B & W have been a great help, not only because its a great place to work, but also because of the amazing support they have provided me. From this one opportunity, I have learnt a great deal from all different sides of the business. I have grown so many skills and key behaviours, helping me become more professional, mature, and diligent in my work. What I love is that I now have so many open doors within the company – whether its marketing, becoming an underwriter, project managing or delving further into property and looking into valuations and becoming a surveyor.’
Damien Druce, Commercial Director said: ‘It’s been a pleasure to support Millie on her apprenticeship journey, we’ve seen her grow into her role so much in the time that she’s been here, and I can’t wait to see what else she can achieve in her career.”
